After we’ve got everything in its right place/arranged in rainbow order, it’s up to you to decide whether (1) you’re good to go! While I can’t call it “financial coaching", or “financial guidance” because hierarchy is hard for me, I can help translate the numbers into information that is meaningful for you and your business so that you have the information you need to make the best decisions for you!   • The idea for offering bookkeeping services came from a conversation with a trusted and brilliant colleague, about what has felt energizing to me lately. One of the things that came up was experiences over the last few years informally helping neuroqueer folks build their counseling and coaching businesses, and/or take on new projects like creating mutual aid funds and assessment service offerings.

    Through these partnerships, I became more and more aware of the number of folks who find the financial/”math” pieces of business ownership confusing or overwhelming, and perhaps more surprisingly, I also became increasingly aware of how much I enjoyed playing with the numbers!

    And so, not-so-surprisingly, I went home that night and found myself diving into a period of fierce focus about bookkeeping.

  • As part of my period of fierce focus about bookkeeping, I began taking coursework online through accredited universities to expand my knowledge of accounting, tax law, and general bookkeeping practices. I also pursued certification through the National Association of Certified Public Bookkeepers (NACPB).

    In my research about bookkeeping practices, I was surprised to learn that there are no standard requirements to be a bookkeeper (even certification is optional). But I decided to pursue coursework and certification as a measure of accountability and competence for myself, as well as an opportunity to collect more knowledge!

  • No, I don’t do any taxes other than my own! BUT, support in understanding and organizing all of your financial data can be a huge asset in preparation and planning for taxes.

  • Again, no - at least not at this time. That said, I have taken relevant coursework and am not opposed to the idea in the future!

  • The charge for the initial 60 minute consultation is $100. If after the consultation, we decide to move forward with working together, I’ll apply a $50 credit to your account for future use.

    I know that it is more common for folks to offer a free consultation, however for me the most energy intensive part of any work that I do is the social + communication + relational demands of meeting new people and building new relationships. As such, I do not offer free consultations to protect my capacity.
